FACULTY OF AYURVEDA ONLINE PROGRAM

 

Reinhart Schacker, Dr.  (CAT/CAS) is Head of the Ayurveda Department for undergraduate studies and mentor for students of the Ayurveda Associate and Bacehlor Degree programs. 1983 he spent 7 months in Rishikesh (India) studying Ayurveda and in 1986 he completed his yoga teacher course at the Shivananda Yoga Centre. He graduated from the SEVA Academy (Munich, Germany) first as Ayurveda Therapist (CAT) with a practical training in India and completed his studies as Ayurveda Specialist (CAS) in 1997.

Since 1999 he is teaching the Ayurveda Correspondence Course at the Vedic Academy in Germany, mentoring students and leading workshops. He has many years of experience in giving yoga, breathing and reiki courses and seminars of Ayurveda and Ayurvedic cooking, especially in adult education.

He is author of two books on Ayurveda, both published in Germany. He often lectures on the topic of Ayurveda and writes articles published in German.

 

Sanja Matesa, Dr. Med., graduated from the Medicinal College in Zagreb, Croatia. At the Ayurvedic Department of the European Academy of Vedic Sciences she is responsible for the Postgraduate Studies of Ayurveda. In collaboration with renowned Ayurvedic doctors from India she is developing the Masters and the Doctoral course for the EAVS. Sanja works as practicing physician, having completed the internship in 2001-2002. Since 2002 she is junior researcher at the Infectious Diseases Clinic in Zagreb. She collaborates in various scientific researches in the field of urology.

 

Liladhar Gupta, B.A.M.S ist the head of the Florida Vedic College Ayurveda Department Internship program. Dr. Liladhar Gupta of Vrindavan, India, is a 4th generation Ayurvedic doctor. During his youth and schooling his father comprehensively trained him in the knowledge and preparation of Ayurvedic herbs. After obtaining a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology and Chemistry, he entered a 5 1/2 year course of Ayurvedic study and in 1992 achieved his B.A.M.S (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery). He is running an Ayurvedic clinic in Vrndavana, where he is offering a two times two weeks intense internship program for the students of the Florida Vedic College.

He now travels extensively propagating Aryurveda through seminars and consultations. He has a strong desire to introduce Ayurveda to the world and to demonstrate its holistic nature, grounded in spiritual understanding and practice, as   well as its practical and scientific nature. He presents Ayurveda "As It Is" in its original form from the Vedas, and demonstrates the benefits of living the Vedic way of life in the present day.
