HISTORY OF COLLEGE

Florida Vedic College (FVC) was founded in 1990 as the College Division of the Institute for Gaudiya Vaishnavism, Inc. which is registered with the State of Florida as a non-profit Religious Institution. The Institute for Gaudiya Vaishnavism is a Vaishnava Institution and part of the worldwide Hindu Religious Tradition. The College was founded by Dr. Randy Stein, in June of 1990 as the first Vedic College in the USA. FVC has always been a forerunner in innovative educational models. Recently, FVC has partnered with the Vedic Academy (Schoena, Germany), the European Academy for Vedic Sciences (Zagreb, Croatia) and Centro Studi Bhaktivedanta (Pisa, Italy) to bring their degree programs into an Online format. FVC now offers 3 Bachelor and 2 Master's Degree programs that are completely Online, with no residential requirements. FVC has grown to accept students from all over the world, India, Europe, China and Latin America and is truly a Global Educational Institution. The College is located in Broward County in the State of Florida and offers traditional and online degree programs.

Florida Vedic College would like to acknowledge and offer its appreciation to His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the foremost exponent of Gaudiya Vaishnava Culture in the modern world. His pure devotion to Lord Krsna and tireless effort to translate the "truths" found in the Vedic literature's without compromising its spiritual messages remain as a constant inspiration for the faculty and staff of this college.
